About the Tech editor Hub...

The Tech Editor Hub is a place for tech editors to connect with their peers and get no frills biz advice. We talk about all the ups and downs of running a business in a supportive and judgment free environment. We also welcome designers, aspiring tech editors, and really anyone who likes to nerd out over knitting and maths.

Hi, I’m Sarah, the manager.

I stumbled upon the TE Hub when I was studying to be a copyeditor but longed to work in my favorite craft, knitting. I jumped into Joeli’s Learn to Tech Edit course and launched my tech editing business in 2017. Since then, I have edited hundreds of patterns and expanded my business to include grading and larger project management.

I am excited to be running the TE Hub, helping other creatives learn the skills that will help them grow their businesses as well as providing a platform for fantastic instruction in technical skills.

Hi, I'm Joeli, the founder.

I started designing in 2006 and tech editing in 2010. Over the past 10 years then I've tech edited for book publishers, multiple magazines, yarn companies and hundreds of designers. I’ve also been published with book publishers and magazines as well as self-published, so I’ve seen both sides of the process.

I feel so lucky that now I get to teach and coach people how to become tech editors and how to make their businesses thrive. I believe everyone can have the success they dream of, they just need a little bit of encouragement and knowledge to get there.
